Pre-schools always have needs besides basic training of their teachers.
Most schools with which we have contact through our student body
(currently 315 teachers) lack a whole range of equipment and facilities.
Good teaching does not depend on lots of expensive toys and aids, but
well designed basic equipment is helpful. Little Seeds wishes to
encourage good outdoor play equipment coupled with the planting of
appropriate indigenous trees. Any gifts of money, large or small, can be
put to excellent use in this regard. A little goes a long way as locally
appropriate designs, materials and labour are employed.
Buys a locally-made wooden toy or set of wooden blocks from the
Masibambisane Disabled group. Encourage them by Allowing us to buy toys
from their project, and help the numerous pre-schools in situations of
poverty. |
